World Gold Council x Am Far Venice
As a sponsor of the 2024 amfAR Gala in Venice, the World Gold Council sought to create a meaningful and visually impactful presence within one of the event’s most important moments the charity auction, which raises over $2 million annually for HIV/AIDS research.
The activation was built around a powerful narrative exploring the past, present, and future role of gold in the fight against HIV/AIDS, referencing the growing use of gold nanoparticles in medical treatment.
The Past was represented through a hand-sourced antique Venetian mask, celebrating the heritage and craftsmanship of the region.
The Present was embodied in a striking 24k gold-plated mask, featuring the World Gold Council logo, symbolising the organisation’s ongoing relevance and influence.
Looking to the Future, we commissioned a bespoke piece by House of Malakai—a 24k gold-plated mask intricately adorned with precious stones including sapphire, citrine, scapolite, and topaz. This one-of-a-kind artwork captured a vision of innovation, luxury, and progress, and was later auctioned during the evening.
The masks were showcased alongside a bespoke gold photo installation designed by studioBEAM, featuring the World Gold Council logo in LED. This became a focal point of the event, attracting high-profile guests including Kate Beckinsale, George Clooney, and Richard Gere.
Blending heritage, contemporary relevance, and future innovation, the activation delivered a visually striking and meaningful experience—leaving a lasting impression on guests while supporting a vital global cause.
