Tess Acheson is the founder and director of studioBEAM, an experiential design and production studio creating immersive installations, brand activations and large-scale creative builds.

Tess leads the studio in delivering design-led experiential projects for brands, festivals and cultural spaces. Known for her practical approach to big ideas, Tess combines creative direction with hands-on production expertise — ensuring ambitious concepts don’t just look good on paper, but actually get built.

Put simply, she specialises in turning “wouldn’t it be amazing if…” into something people can walk into.

Katy Sampson is the organisational powerhouse behind studioBEAM, keeping projects running smoothly from concept to completion. She joined the studio in 2023 and has been instrumental in ensuring that ambitious creative ideas are delivered with precision and care.

Known for her calm, solutions-focused approach and strong attention to design, Katy ensures that every project runs seamlessly behind the scenes. She believes great creativity is supported by great organisation — and she’s the person making sure everything happens when and how it should.

Jo Mountain-Lawrence

Senior Project Manager - Freelance

Jo specialises in event installs—and is a bit of a curtain-making extraordinaire.

She’s the one you bring in when things need to be built, installed, and delivered properly. From managing complex set-ups to getting hands-on with draping and finishes, Jo knows how to turn a space into something that looks the part and works on the day.

With years of experience on-site, she’s calm under pressure, practical, and always one step ahead.

If it needs installing, draping, or pulling together on-site—Jo’s your go-to.

Stuart Hollington

Graphic Designer

Stuart is the Graphic Designer who makes sure everything looks as good as it should.

From event branding and visual concepts to the finer details across all print, he brings ideas to life in a way that feels considered, consistent, and on-brand. He works closely with the team to turn briefs into visuals that not only look great but actually work in the real world on-site, on screen, and everywhere in between.

Whether it’s bold graphics for an installation or the smaller touches people don’t always notice (but definitely feel), Stuart makes sure every detail is right.

She’s the one making sure the details are sorted, the lists are up to date, and nothing gets missed from keeping event documents, contacts, and processes organised and easy to use.

Jess works closely with the wider team to support event delivery, helping prep everything ahead of time so event days feel calm and under control. She’s all about structure, clarity, and making sure everyone has what they need, when they need it.

Dee Harbias

Logistics Manager

Dee is quite simply the logistics manager you want on your side.

He’s the one keeping everything moving—kit in the right place, people where they need to be, timelines on track, and problems handled before anyone else even spots them. From transport and load-ins to schedules and last-minute curveballs.

Cool under pressure and always ten steps ahead, he brings structure, speed, and a bit of magic to every project.
