Design, consultancy and curation for The World Gold Council at the amFAR Gala in Venice
Sponsoring the 2024 amFAR Gala, The World Gold Council wanted to make an impact on the event. A key feature of the event is the auction which raises over $2 Million to fund HIV / AIDS research. Gold nanoparticles are being used in treatments to fight the disease, as such, the activation needed to talk of the Past, Present and Future role gold plays in the fight against AIDS.
The Past was represented by a hand-sourced antique Venetian mask, embodying the rich history and artistry of the region. The Present was showcased through a striking 24k gold-plated mask, prominently featuring the World Gold Council logo, highlighting the organization's contemporary significance in the world of gold.
For the Future, we commissioned a custom art piece by House of Malakai, a stunning 24k gold-plated mask adorned with precious stones including sapphire, citrine, scapolite, and topaz. This exquisite piece represents innovation and luxury, capturing the essence of the World Gold Council’s vision. This event was a beautiful blend of tradition, modernity, and forward-thinking artistry, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended. Which was later auctioned at the dinner.
The masks were displayed next to a studioBEAM designed gold photo opportunity featuring the WGC logo in LED’s. This was a hugley popular feature attracting stars such as Kate Beckinsale, George Clooney and Richard Gere.
